GarageGallery presents an exhibit beginning April 5, 2007 of alumni art of the California College of the Arts (CCA) to commemorate its 100 year anniversary as an arts college in the Bay Area. This juried show will present painting, mixed-media, photography and sculpture.

The judging, organized by Rebecca Katz and Michela Peters of CCA, for the show took place on December 19, 2006 at the CCA San Francisco campus. Bram Goodwin, Director and Deborah Scripps, Associate Director represented GarageGallery. They viewed 400 artists and 1200 works of art that were submitted.

Out of that mass of art they chose 14 artist and 23 pieces of art that will make up the show. Bram and Deborah emphasized large art pieces, since GarageGallery is one of the few galleries that can handle them.

Among the pieces to be shown is a painting 96" X 144" by Mark Butler and a conceptual piece which will hang from the GarageGallery ceiling by Stacey Speyer.

The CCA exhibit at GarageGallery will run from April 5 to May 25 both in the main gallery and the mezzanine gallery.

An opening party for the artists and CCA will be held on Thursday April 5 at GarageGallery, 655 Bryant St, San Francisco 94107.
